Paulina 'Paula' Holska CREATOR & LEADER OF THE NATURE EMBODIED PROJECT
Mover, dreamer, painter, storyteller, dancer, performer and therapist.
Fascinated with multidimensional and synesthetic potential which brings work with body, soul, voice and image. With transformability attainable simply through imagination and organic impulses. It is a source of health and pleasure.
“The voice of passion is better than the voice of reason. (...)
Let the sweetness of day fill your lungs "
Czesław Miłosz
Moving, dreaming, painting, dancing, storytelling, voicing, travelling and exploring is in her blood. Curious and adventureous, loves to discover shapes, colours, places, people… Her life is all about the journey with her passions and love. Always connected deeply with nature.
Qigong. Dance. Theatre. Images. I seek the connections between our body, soul and art we create. My attitude to life is to follow passions and trust in our intuition and inner voice.
From being in nature, to 'be the nature'. From observing nature, to be the reflection of nature.
From observing ourselves, to know ourselves. From performing ourselves, to be ourselves.
Paula has been working with movement and various teaching practice throughout last 12 years, with different complementary fields: as Chinese Qigong and Kung Fu teacher and performer, awarded in world championships in China, Switzerland and Germany; teacher of her own method, „7 animals dance”; creator and leader of Nature Embodied Project. To transform deep nature experience into a scenic work; explorer of physical theatre methods (Grotowski way...), Improvisation, Contact Improvisation, Gaga, Chinese Medicine (applied to movement), Chinese Calligraphy (Calligraphy in Motion), BMC, meditation, Butoh, tango and voice exploration. She deepened Qigong and Chinese Calligrafy understanding in her solo journeys to China.
An artist with both scientific and intuitive core and grounding, always combining both in her work. She recieved masters in Biology and Geology, studied Chinese Herbology, and continued her education through experience, travels, meetings with people, teaching, and following her teachers, just to mention Ryszard Nieoczym (Grotowski's student), and Shai Dayan. She visited, lived, worked and performed in various places over the world, as Spain (Andalucia, Ibiza, Canarian Islands), Germany, Greece, Sweden, Croatia, China, Mongolia and Taiwan. Her next destinations seems to be Latin America.
The most important is meeting, feeling, being in relation. Breathing. Sharing. All is about contact. With myself, with people, with world. With everyday miracles. Every meeting is a gift. The beauty of unknown to explore. The beauty of (our) nature, to express.
Life guides me to creation and sharing. It is all about time and tuning with the beat of our heart and its timing. Its rhythm.
To live the dreams is to breath out the dreams with gentle breath. With tender smile and open heart.
Life [living] is about the balance
[dynamic equilibrum]
Paula loves to touch the essence and depth of each technique, which often lies in the roots and basic principles. Her interest is in a conscious interwining of archetypical, shamanic and spiritual aspects of life with pure technical movement development. All those aspects she explores in her life project: 'Fenghuagong. Through breath and motion', involving '7 animals dance','7 animals training' and '7 animals theraphy'.
